How to use this guide
If you are looking for what to do with kids in São Paulo and Hopi Hari appears on your list, this page organizes your visit. We start with how to get there from the capital, continue through the themed regions, and close with Hora do Horror 2026, tickets, and the day's schedule. Everything designed for family outings in São Paulo with different rhythms: little ones who need a nap, children aged 5 to 10 who want to repeat rides, and teenagers looking for tall roller coasters.
Diversão Total is an independent guide in Spanish. We do not sell tickets for amusement parks. Always compare schedules and promotions on the park's official channels before leaving.

Amusement park route · Vinhedo
Where it is and how to get there from São Paulo
The park is in Vinhedo, about 70 km from the capital, among the most visited amusement parks in São Paulo for a weekend trip with kids. The usual access is via Rodovia dos Bandeirantes and Anhanguera, well-signposted from the exit towards Vinhedo. From Pinheiros, calculate about 1h 15m without traffic; a Friday afternoon can stretch quite a bit, so leaving with extra time changes the day.
By car
Leave early and set the parking
Parking is paid separately from the ticket, a detail that makes the amusement park expensive if you don't plan for it. Note where you leave the car with a photo of the sector. If you travel with babies and a full change of clothes, the car works as a base better than carrying everything all day.
Tolls on Bandeirantes. Check traffic before leaving.
By bus
Tietê and Barra Funda plus final transfer
From the Tietê and Barra Funda terminals there are connections to Vinhedo and the area, with a short final transfer to the gate. It works well during the day, but requires coordinating return times. For leisure with kids in SP without a car, an excursion with a fixed departure is usually simpler than combining two buses with tired little ones.
Save return times on your phone and on paper.
At night
If you are going to Hora do Horror, do not improvise the return
The night event ends late and Vinhedo gets chilly. Secure a private return or an excursion with a confirmed departure time before entering. Avoid depending on app-based transport during peak departure hours, when demand skyrockets and the kids are already tired.
Bring a light coat and a meeting point in the shade.
Theme park guide · The zones
The five regions without getting lost
Hopi Hari is organized like small neighborhoods with their own atmosphere. If you are going with mixed ages, tour in this order: entrance, kids' area, intermediate zones, and, at the end, the intense zone. This way the little ones enjoy it without long walks in the sun.

Entrance · All ages
Kaminda Mundi, the gate and the map
Here you orient your day: pick up a map, locate family restrooms and nursing rooms, and decide on the first region according to age. Don't run to the first attraction without looking at the map. Five minutes of reading saves two full crossings of the park.
Calm · 2 to 7 years old
Infantasia, base for the little ones
Carousels, gentle games, and short shows. For those under 90 cm this is the base: stay here, schedule nap breaks in the shade, and don't cross the whole park in the sun. Among the best parks for kids, this area is the one that works best with 2 to 7-year-olds.

Festive · Family and intermediate
Aribabiba and Wild West
Aribabiba concentrates movement, music, and food court. Wild West adds western ambiance with family and intermediate attractions. Here bumper cars, river rides, and short daytime shows work well with children aged 5 to 10. Check minimum height in each line: it varies by attraction and age is not enough.
Do the priority things in the morning, when lines are shorter, and leave the favorite repetition for the last hour.
Intense · With restrictions
Mistieri, towers, and tall roller coasters
Roller coasters like Montezum and Katapul, as well as drop towers, require specific height and build for safety. Teenagers from 132 to 140 cm have access to a large part, but always confirm at the entrance. If a child doesn't reach it by a little bit, don't argue with the operator: it's a manufacturer's rule.
Divide the group by turns with a meeting point in the shade. That way no one gets bored waiting.
Seasonal event · Spring
Hopi Hari Hora do Horror 2026: what changes
Hora do Horror is the spring night event with mazes, characters, and horror settings in designated areas. The park extends its hours and separates family areas from horror areas with clear signage. During the day, the atmosphere remains family-friendly; at night, some streets change completely.
It is not recommended for children under 10 to 12 years old who are sensitive to scares, darkness, and intense effects. With young children, it is better to visit during the day and avoid night mazes. Bring a light jacket because Vinhedo gets chilly at night, and check the official 2026 calendar because exact dates are confirmed by season.
- · Respect the signage between family and horror areas; do not cross through shortcuts with small children.
- · If a teenager wants to enter a maze, agree on a meeting point and time outside the scare zone.
- · The effects use darkness, loud sound, and fog: warn sensitive children beforehand and offer a daytime alternative.
To decide
Day, night, or both?
Day: attractions for children in SP, shorter lines in the morning, and shows. Night: mazes and characters only for teenagers and adults. With a mixed family, the plan that works best is a full family day plus leaving before the horror peak.
See children's programming in São Paulo→Hopi Hari 2026 tickets and promotion with criteria
Hopi Hari offers general passports, season passes, and specific promotions published on its official channels. Promotions with similar names change conditions every year, so read the fine print: check which days they apply to, if they include parking, and if there is a difference by day of the week.
On our tickets and savings page, we explain how to compare amusement park tickets without getting into trouble. Buy only at the official box office or from authorized sellers indicated by the park. If you buy at the box office on a weekend, arrive early.
Understanding tickets and savings→Comparison list
What the passport includes
Day attractions and daytime events. Night content for Hopi Hari promotions may require specific access.
What is paid separately
Parking, lockers, food, and prize games. Add those items up before saying it is cheap.
When is a weekday better
Fewer lines, better pace with children, and quieter restaurants. Ideal if you are looking for tips on visiting parks without rushing.
Agenda
Schedules, lines, and a pace that actually works
09:30 — 12:00
Priorities first
Arrive 30 minutes before opening. If you are looking for adrenaline, start with Mistieri; if you are going with little ones, head straight to Infantasia. Do the carousel, river, or favorite roller coaster first in the morning when lines are shorter. Have an app or paper map so you don't cross the park unnecessarily.
11:30 — 14:00
Lunch before the peak
Lunch at 11:30 to avoid the 1:00 PM peak at Aribabiba restaurants. Food courts offer varied options; locate the nursing room and family restrooms upon entry so you don't have to look for them in a hurry. With babies, plan a nap break in shaded areas.
15:00 — Closing
Afternoon of shows and repeats
Use the afternoon for shows and repeats with shorter waits. If there is an electrical storm, high rides stop: take shelter in covered areas until they resume operation. Leave your favorite repeat for the last hour, when many have already left.
Food, rest, and services for families
Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable bottle where permitted. Rent a locker only if you are carrying a full change of clothes or shopping. A small backpack per adult is enough for the full day, and a steady pace beats rushing.
What to bring and what to leave
- · Bring children's ID, a light cape in summer, and comfortable closed-toe shoes.
- · Avoid large bags that complicate lines and force you to use luggage storage at every intense attraction.
- · Check prohibited items before leaving São Paulo. Less load means more mobility.
Plan B if something closes
Scheduled maintenance can close a star attraction without it being noticeable in old photos. Check official notices the same week and prepare alternatives in the same region. If a big roller coaster closes, compensate with a show and a nearby family area. A flexible route with children yields more than a rigid list.
Amusement park route
Hopi Hari among theme parks in Brazil
Among theme parks in Brazil, Hopi Hari is the big getaway from São Paulo; water parks in São Paulo and children's programming in the capital complete the week. If you compare leisure options with children in SP, look at distance, minimum height, and shade, not just the photo of the roller coaster.
Attractions for children in SP
With 5 to 10-year-olds, the carousel, river, bumper cars, and short shows work well. With teenagers, take turns in Mistieri and meet in the shade.
Frequently asked questions
Questions to organize your visit
Short answers to decide on the day, time, and if Hora do Horror fits your group. For details on transfers and meals, return to the blocks above.
Does Hopi Hari operate in the rain?
It opens in light rain, but high rides stop during an electrical storm. Bring a cape and prioritize indoor areas and shows until they resume operation. In summer, a light cape takes up little space and saves the afternoon.
Is Hora do Horror suitable for children?
The horror areas are designed for teenagers and adults. With children under 10, it is better to visit during the day and avoid night mazes. If you are traveling with mixed ages, leave before the intense night section or split the group with responsible adults.
Do I need to buy in advance or at the box office?
Both options exist depending on the season. Compare official 2026 promotions and arrive early if you buy at the box office on a weekend. Buy only at the official box office or from authorized sellers indicated by the park and keep the receipt.
Is it a good cheap plan from São Paulo?
It can be if you go on a weekday, carry a light backpack, and control extras. Add up parking, lockers, and food before comparing. Our theme park guide helps you contrast with other nearby outings.
